Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2017 Volvo XC90

Today on our 2017 Volvo XC90, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW2029C. So here's what our chains look like when they're fully installed. These are going great for the occasional use whether it's on light snow or light ice. The ladder pattern is going to assist us whether we're starting out and accelerating or slowing down and coming to a stop. The rollers are wrapped around a sturdy cable and they're going to give us a much smoother ride compared to square links. These chains are SE Class S chains and what that means is that they're going to work well and they're designed for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. Our chains even come with a reusable storage bag, which is going to be great because we can keep it in our truck for whenever we need that extra traction. Our chains do comply with all DOT specifications. They come in a quantity of two. Let's show you how easy it is to get them installed. Today we're going to be working with size 235/60-18 on our Volvo. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2007 Volvo XC90

Today, on our 2007 Volvo XC90, were going to be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1046. To fit our tire chains over the tire, we need to make sure that our tire is turned all the way out to the steering lock. Once weve done that, well drape the chain over the tire and pull the leading edge to the base of our tire. Then, we can either pull forward or backward and roll under the tire until we can bring it up and around and connect the chains towards the top of the tire. As we hook the tire chains together around the tire, we need to make sure that the stops are within one of each other from inside to outside. Once weve done that, we can take the excess on the stop leads and clip them back to the chain using the clips. more
